The Calhoun-Gordon County Literacy Council is very involved in supporting and encouraging adult literacy in our community. The Council helps those pursuing their GED by providing qualified candidates with funds for testing, participating in GED graduation, and awarding the GEDD award.  We are committed to helping remove barriers that prevent adults in Calhoun and Gordon County from obtaining their GED. 

Scholarships for Testing
 The Literacy Council funds GED Test Fees for all pre-qualified candidates. Dozens of scholarships have been awarded and the council is committed to continue this support. The Council also provides study guides and other learning materials.
